OUR HISTORY

One Family, one Passion, one Story since 1950

A meeting of love, tradition, and hospitality

The Bellevue et Mediterranée Hotel was founded in 1950, born from a love story between Wanda Gorlero and Giuseppe Zago.

Our grandmother Wanda helped her family harvest olives and work in the fields, but her strong entrepreneurial talent was already innate. Our grandfather Giuseppe came from a family of hoteliers in Alessandria; sadly, he passed away prematurely, leaving our grandmother to manage the business on her own — though not for long.
She was soon joined by her son Roberto, who supported her in running the family business, and together they introduced important expansions and continuous improvements.

Wanda Gorlero Zago was one of the first female entrepreneurs in Liguria’s tourism sector. In 1974 she received the national award “Lady of Hospitality,” and in 2000 she was bestowed the title of “Commendatore” by the President of the Republic.

Our loyal guests, and all those who knew her, remember Wanda with great affection — her smile, her warmth, and her determined character.

Grandma left behind a beautiful memory and a legacy that we, her grandchildren, intend to carry forward with the same enthusiasm.

Since 1950, a story of family and hospitality in Diano Marina: discover the origins and evolution of Hotel Bellevue et Mediterranée.

Thank you, Grandma — we love you.
